I found what I thought was scale on some plants in my greenhouse. After looking under a microscope I see that they look like a egg of some sort. They are black with a ring of white around them, and they are flat. Please Help!

this could be anynumber of insect but what about whitefly? Have you had scale insects before as they could be the eggs of same ?
