hyacinth and primrose

Well primula rather than primrose for #2

I agree. the first is hyacinth and the second primula vulgaris. possibly a true 'primrose' but there are so many varieties around now its difficult to tell.

The second one looks exactly like the wild primroses that are already out in force round here. They are hardier than the cultivated ones, in our garden anyway and seed around freely.

ooo, thank you all! Can't wait for the hyacinth to flower now!

How do I say thanks?
