Hi, this plant gows out of the ground inverted cone shaped, then exlpodes into life, and is about to flower. Anyone know what this is, is it rare?

It could be dranunculs vulgaris, the Dragon Arum. The flowers are dark red and smell of rotting meat (it is pollinated by flies). It is a tuberous perennial found in the Mediterranean

Hi, thanks yes that must be it, interesting plant.
Its' grown really tall this year, 50+ inches, and i have 2-3 more of them.
