I tried many years ago and got 3 melons the size of oranges. Cant remember the variety and didnt do it again.

I grew the orange flesh ones in the gh years ago, I remember that they needed hand pollinating, the problem was the male and female flowers rarely came out at the same time
I did eventually get a couple but 'they' say you need to put the fruit in a net to reduce the weight on the stem.......
Like Seaburn I only attempted it once......
