Anyone know the name of the purple : Grows on You

Anyone know the name of the purple / blue ish flower., The stems are quite rough and the flower heads feel artificial almost like paper. You tend to find them in bouquets. They planted lots on of the traffic Island on the Frank Whittle way near Derby this year and they seemed to flower for months. Bit thin on the plant information sorry
