how to eliminate a black/grey lawn fungus

i have patches of blackish/grey flat fungus in my lawn, if i merely rake it out, i am concerned that might just spread the spores, suggestions welcomed, thank you.

If its flat it might not have spores - what it will have is mycelium in the soil all around anyway. You could just collect it by covering with a plastic bag and scooping it up through the bag if you want to reduce possible spore spread.
