This is growing very well in a garden in Forfar, Scotland. It has large pods at present, and long branches with paired leaves. Not my garden, but would really like to know what this is - Thanks!

You are a genius, Andrew - Thank You Very Much! Have checked with all descriptions and images I could find, and the above shrub is this one I like its origins, and the fact that it is related to Akebia quinata ("Chocolate Vine"), which I have in my own garden.
