I bought a selection of plug plants this year that were on sale.They were not named but most I recognised during the season.This plant was amongst them.Could anyone tell me its name

Oh! Yes! That sure is a lovely white double Hollyhock you have there and what a Smasher it is too. I have yellow singles and they have blown about in the wind so as Mookins said, do stake them. Mine got leaf rust later though which they are known to do.
