Lack of flowers on climbing hydrangea
United Kingdom 
Previously well established climbing hydrangea had abundance of flowers but this year only very few flowers have appeared. Can you advise why please?

It could be something to do with the drought/heatwave earlier in the year, which may have prevented full flower initiation - this has seemingly caused a problem with some of the other hydrangeas too. If a similar thing happens next year, make sure you soak the plant well and regularly.
