is it bad to pollinate a burp kind of cucumber with a burpless kind if it really doesn't matter to me if they are separated?

You do get all female cucumnber varieties- with no male flowers. Pollination from male flowers makes the fruit produce seeds and therefore taste sour. Hence why all female were invented
The burpless female variety shouldn't need male hence why it only produces female flowers and is a female variety.

I would of thought its best to keep a male flowering plant away from the female plant incase they do cross pollinate.

I do have them separated and on some advice from another goy member I've been taking the male flowers off hoping to see some female ones soon.i was just wondering if the pollinating thing would help anything along.I'm such an impatient gardener, and this year it has been a slow start in the garden.

No just leave the burpless female flowers alone and they willf ruit form there.
You just have to be patient with the burp kind, a female and male flower will appear together soon. Just dont be too quick to remove males as a female one with the slight bulge behind the flower may appear to and then you wont have any males to pollinate it!
