Blue lily?

My Neighbour has a plant which she says is a lily. It has long spiky leaves and flowers in Feb/Mar with blue lily flowers close to the ground. What is it and where can I purchase one? I do not have a picture.

I am wondering if she has got the name wrong and that it is actually 'Iris unguicularis'. This has long spiky leaves and beautiful blue flowers in late winter. I am sure that Andrewr has a photo of one on his page - have a look! If that's what it is, many Nurseries stock it, but not usually at this time of year.
