Are Dead Man's Fingers Poisonous?

I don't intend on eating them but my chickens probably will? Are they harmful and how do I get rid of them. They are on an old dead holly trunk which I cannot remove.

Apparently thaey are in large doses, to us, but with chickens, it might no take much.
If possible try to fence off the stump and wear gloves to pull off the fungus before the spores spread elsewhere. I find it best to treat all fungi with cauion, It may not be a danger to some but to others it might be!
