Brugmansia-poor growth
By Meanie

I have a 3 year old Brugmansia which to be honest is pathetic! It is no more than 18" high with 6 leaves at the top.
In desperation tonight I've just put it into a 15" pot.
Does anyone have any advice, as I'm thinking that maybe it's time to execute it & go back to growing Daturas as annuals again (which were always very good to me,10 flowers on a plant by mid August).

Thank you Fractal.
I don't suppose that you could help me with a Datura question could you?I can't remember the name of the Datura that I used to grow-it was pure white with single flowers, typically 3 to 4 inches across.I've found seeds for the larger flowered one,but not this one.Obviously, not knowing its' name doesn't help!

They are such greedy root feeders and need to be grown fast in good conditions ie warmth. I think you have probably done the best thing by giving it a bigger pot. Lets just hope for a good summer! :-)
