Hmm - what did I do wrong? I planted 3 to a pot in tall pots (the kind they keep flowers in in supermarkets) using a mixture of general garden and multi-purpose compost. They look a bit extra-terrestrial don't they?!

was it gritty compost, this often causes forking as does over rich soil. so either of these could be the cause. but soup is an excellent option especially with mediterranean herbs.

I think it's probably been too rich compost. I'll know better next time - if there is a next time! Thanks.
