CHRISTMAS WISHES, WOODY AND SNOW

Firstly, may I wish all my friends on GoY a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy-Gardening New Year.

For those who saw my Woody Woodpecker blog in November, I thought you might be interested in a little update. He is now an almost daily visitor. Yesterday, he spent a long time aerating my lawn and also had a nibble at the Cotinus. He has been in five times today amidst flurries of snow. He has come much closer to the house and now comes close to the edge of the patio but from the patio windows there are too many things obstructing the view to get a better photo shot than before. I managed this one from my office window.

P.S.It is now 2pm. The snow has now definitely arrived – heavily – and is beginning to settle. This strange shot shows it streaking in on a Northerly wind. More is forecast. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
