Wonderful isn't it. I have had more flowers this year than ever before and the weather has been terrible in Scotland.

Thanks all!
It has been lousy for all my Tricyrtis here.

It's looking great!

Not really Delonix - they've been poor this year.

Is it because of cooler weather? If it is, I'll send you some of San Diego's ######' sweltering weather. It's been horrible this year!

We'll take all the heat you can send us!

I'll send you it all! Practically everyone I talk to is complaining about the heat and humidity and the usually warm nights. It's highly unlikely it'll change anytime soon as the whole Pacific Ocean and off San Diego is so much warmer than normal because of the super El Niño. The water temps off San Diego County's coast are between: 75 - 79ºF (24 - 26ºC). This is the warmest water temps ever recorded for this time of year. It's kind of interesting though... because there's so many tropical fish off our coast like: Manta Rays, Marlin, Hammerhead sharks, red crabs, yellowfin and bluefin tuna. In the last few days, the never seen off San Diego's coast, north-eastern Australian spotted jellyfish has appeared by the millions. It's crazy!

The jellyfish are a downer. I was on a beach in Queensland when someone was stung by one - OUCH!

We have years when the giant jellyfish come and invade our coast. These jellyfish are very nasty! Even dead ones along the coast on the sand can sting you. This spotted northern Queensland Jellyfish supposedly has a very mild sting.
