Syringa meyeri 'Palibin'

Syringa meyeri 'Palibin' (Syringa meyeri (Lilac))

The flower buds are deep purple but not as colorful once they are open. Still a beautiful smaller lilac and opens about a week after Syringa vulgaris has finished flowering. I've had this for years and the rabbits and deer used to do a lot of damage to it. I cut all lilacs back into old wood after flowering and it keeps them blooming heavy every year.
