Old Date Palm trunk. (Phoenix dactylifera (Date))

Not large, but the clean trunk without a single boot shows it must be an older palm.

They look great! Where are they located?

Near the Hayward Golf Course. I cant remember the "Something Estates" name.
This one- like all the others were planted a few years ago 80% of the size they are now. This one Andy must have been in a tree box for a very long time before being sold.

The Date palm business must be a pretty good one..never any waste. If a tree isn't a good producer of sweet dates? They dig it up and sell it for thousands of dollars. Nothing is wasted.

Yes, the Date palm business is a very good one. They're being planted by the waterfront in San Diego. I can think of many other exotic palms to plants there; however, they're planted because of their extreme drought tolerance. And you know of the extreme drought we've been in for years.
