Pruned CIDP. (Phoenix canariensis (Canary Island date palm))

With pelargonums. When I drove by the first time it was a dazzling look. When I left- the shadows. Darn.

I hate when these palms are over pruned like this! It's really unhealthy for these palms to be pruned like this...

Most of the large dead CIDP around died with that "look". More then any weevil kills.

Yes, it's very dangerous to over prune Canary Island Date palms. It's very true that over pruning of this palm will in many cases kill it. It's very sad! :>((
