Mitraria coccinea - 2016 (Mitraria coccinea)

Chilean shrub for cool, moist soil in shade. It bumbles along until it finds something to clamber over, when it can climb to six feet. Usually shy flowering, it is carrying lots of flowers in this year's wet summer.

Several plants from the Valdivian Rain Forest in Chile like cool, moist, shady positions. It rains two days out of three there.
