My weeping dawn redwood wasn't doing well where I had it planted so I dug it up and potted it this Spring until I could find a better spot for it. The top half completely died back but I had it planted in a place where it got too much shade and had root competition from a large maple. It has done much better since being dug up and hopefully will keep doing well in the ground.
