It'll take either...I have a purple one in sun, too. AND a new one from Malvern, with lots of buds on it! Lilac, I think.....:-)

It's all coming out now...all the purchases are being revealed ;)

You'll see them, I promise. Its name is 'Amy Doncaster' - darker with a pale 'eye', so my book shows, anyway. I'll see for myself soon, I hope.

What book are you using B?

I've got three - the Wisley Handbook and two others. Can't lay my hands on one of them (Duh!) but I looked in 'Gardening with Hardy Geraniums' by Brigitte Husted-Bendtsen. :-)))

very pretty too.

Thanks...it's in the shade, and really shows up well.

I have the Wisley handbooks too.

They're good - but the other two books on geraniums are wonderful...I can sit and read them and drool.....I found it, by the way. ;-)))

I use The Gardener's Guide to Growing Hardy Geraniums but as it was printed in 2003, the newer varieties are not listed

Who's the author/s, Andrew? I think that may be the other one I have...

I will have a look on Amazon. I don't find the wisley handbook is all that interesting! I'm one of those people that needs full colour illustrations galore! I never buy a recipe book if it's not packed with illustrations....I guess that must mean I am a 'visual' learner! ha ha

The book Andrew has is indeed the third one I have, and it's great. It's by Trevor Bath and Joy Jones. I like it, and the previous one I mentioned is up-to-date with newer varieties. They both have PLENTY of pictures in them! ;-)))

Thanks for that!!

More money! I did get them from Amazon, though. :-) Both well worth having.

Mine is the old book too, you can never keep up with HGs they bring out new plants every year, you only have to look at the RHS Plant Finder to see how many new ones were introduced in 09-10.

See who else is growing Geranium sylvaticum (Bodziszek).

See who else has plants in genus Geranium.
