No flowers on mine B, but it is looking very healthy, so no worries. The leaves are beautiful in themselves.

Shouldn't be long, should it - this is the first flower.

Well, it might take this year just to 'bed in'. some of my new gers. have not flowered at all so far...no worries! btw I ordered sanguineum album from crocus, so looks like I will have my pure white!

19 Jun, 2010

That's a pretty one - I wouldn't have put that as a top priority, though. I have it in the back garden, and it doesn't look or behave like a G. sanguineum at all! I hope you like it.

There was something about the shape of the flower that I really liked....and the purity of the whhite.

20 Jun, 2010

OK...yes, it's pure white, I agree! Anyway, if I can get some seeds for you, you'll end up with another white one...:-))))))

20 Jun, 2010

That will do nicely! :)

The way things are moving, it won't be long, either! Are you finding the same? Flowers are coming into bloom - but not lasting.

20 Jun, 2010

Well, apart from the wind damage I would have to say no B. The only thing that didn't last as long as usual was the Philippe Vappelle. I think it got quite warm quite quickly after it started to flower. The blue poppies have been flowering for ages this year and the irises seem to be lasting well. It must just be very warm in sunny Somerset!

20 Jun, 2010

I suppose it might be warmer...not very, though! My 'New Dawn' roses on the house came out properly last week, and they're already dropping petals. :-((

20 Jun, 2010

Hope that doesn't last! I'm still waiting for most of the roses to start!
