This has one of the most beautiful, colorful trunks of any tree in the world. It's native to New Guinea and the Philippines. Photo taken at the San Diego Zoo on Veteran's Day - Nov. 11, 2013.

When the sun hits that trunk and its wet down with a watering hose..the colors must glow.

Yes, they do (after it rains). I've seen it many times. There's several trees planted in a row not too far from where I live.
