Beautiful! Does the Pagoda multiply easily?

This one seems to. I planted three corms in autumn about 18 months ago. Last year 2 plants came up - don't know what happened to the other one. This year there are several rosettes of leaves and the flowers are quite prolific, considering. This shot shows all I have of E. 'Pagoda'. I'm intending to mark where they are and divide a bit when dormant in summer, hoping to spread them out a bit more.

I also have 'White Beauty' which is smaller, and guess what, it's white. It seems a lot less vigorous, but is hanging on in there.

They're all in a shady spot.

They are lovely and you don't seem to be encountering any slug damage,in my garden they love them as much as I do.

Thank you Terratoonie - high praise from an expert! :-)

Bjs, I thought Cornwall had the worst snails and slugs in the world, barring those african land snails which are so large you could wear a shell as a hat. You're right - they don't get eaten here at all - stands back in amazement!
Please don't tell my molluscs that they're edible. I do use those organic slug pellets based on ferric phosphate in small numbers all over the garden from time to time. Perhaps they're doing a good job after all.
