Coffea arabica - Coffee Tree

Coffea arabica - Coffee Tree (Coffea arabica - Coffee Tree)

This coffee tree was loaded with coffee. There's also a lot of little baby plants below. My coffee tree does the same thing. It's amazing this tree looks so good with the big wind storm we had at the beginning of the month. Photo taken in the Western Edition of Balboa Park on Feb. 12, 2016.

I was reading someplace of a soucal gardener..who is REALLY into growing his own coffee and had types I never heard of.
Mine is years and years old...in a bad spot. Never shown a bit of winter damage. I think I will move next to the Mango this year.

I had a beautiful coffee tree when I lived in Hayward for a long time. However, the Dec 1990 freeze killed it. Coffee trees tolerate cool conditions and freezing temps for only a very short period of time.

I can't believe it's still 68 degrees at 1:20 a.m. here. That's incredibly warm even for San Diego.
