Clematis tangutica 'Helios' - 2009 (Clematis tangutica)

I thought I'd lost this after last winter but, after a late start, it has made six feet of growth again this year

I didn't know this could be struck down, Andrew - mine must be a different cultivar, I think - they are in rude health and grow at least 12' each year - I didn't plant them, so I can't say exactly what they are. Not 'Bill McKenzie', anyway.

I bought 'Helios' because it is supposed to only grow to six feet but no-one told this one - it usually makes ten feet in a season

Mine swamp anything in their path - even though I cut them right back to ground level every year!

lol Andrew look on my page and you will see how tall it grows goes over my arch, gets very bushy too and I love the effect of when it seeds too.
