Oh, that is so beautiful, I am truly envious!! I can't grow the winter flowering types here, unless I put them in my greenhouse. The only other place would be the front porch and they are a bit too vigourous for there....this is stunning!

It is Holly, and I tend to forget about this one, then you see the buds like snowdrops waiting to open....:o))

I like them both Tetrach...but I know what you mean, I planted Freckles last winter, but its disappeared...:o((

Yes, anything flowering in winter is a bonus Labd isn't it?

Have you some tiny buds coming Amy? How high has it grown? Is your Freckles in flower yet....like I said, mine's nowhere to be found...:o((

These are my faves Karen, the group 1s, and it should last till the end of feb, when other things are just coming...:o))

Thanks Sheila, Stevie and Balc, it is evergreen too so you have those pretty shaped leaves all year....:o)

We are Fp...it was here when we came, quietly flowering in the dark December days. It has grown through a Clematis Montana...so right now there are purple leaves next to it, then just when it's finishing Clematis Willy comes into flower which has bright pink bells. It does tend to need a good clip after flowering, to keep the foliage and flowers all the way up the stems. I planted a Clematis multi-blue with it for later on...I'm not sure it had the right name though, as the flowers are only small....but actually they suit it better...:o)

My Freckles has gone nuts Spritz, it has climbed all thru the Lilac, and it doesnt seem to mind when I hack it back which I have to, frequently!

You have really worked it out well Janey!! A great idea to
plant, different times of blooming.....looking forward to seeing Clematis 'willy following this, pretty 1, what a joy!! Yes, when the Clematis multi -blue comes in to flower you must post a pic to show me...

Well yours must be very happy Tetrach, exactly the right spot (!) for it....:o)
I have photos of Willy and Multi-blue in my pictures Sheila. The one I would love is the Alpina Frances Rives....a wonderful blue early flowering one, the flowers look like tiny hankies hanging down....:o))
