I really like that!

Lovely! I'm waiting for my three alpinas to open with bated breath!

Which ones have you got? I have another (white) that deserves a medal for persistance, having been eaten to the ground by snails - twice - and a 'Jacqueline Du Pre' which is just opening its buds. 'Constance' is already in flower, as is 'Frances Rivis'.

Rosy Pagoda, Tage Lundell and Willy. Jacqueline du pre is a beauty, I bought that once but she died.....no idea why. My Macropetala is usually first though and it's not out yet either.....soon....soon....soon!

Thanks, Amy.

Karen - there are sooooooo many and I'd love some more wall or fence or shrub or tree planting space! LOL. Sorry you lost Jacqueline, though. :-((

She looks a bit like a hippy I think, her shoulder length hair parted in the middle:-) I've bought loads of clematis for 'new' garden, haven't got all yet, still waiting for 3 macropetela. I've only had alpina in my old garden where it happily looked after itself...must have some here...yes I want it:-) Are you going to Malvern? I'm having to go on the Saturday now and won't meet Grindle in her daffodil hat:-(

Yes, jacqueline may be replaced one day, but I'm trying so hard to be disciplined!! ha ha....that'll be the day!

LOL. I can't see that happening! I'm still looking around hopefully to see if there's even the 'tiniest' gap where I can plant more Clems....

This is my very favourite alpina, Holly/Lab, so I'm glad you like it as well. :-))

Yes, Ba - Louise and her partner are taking me, and it looks like ....SATURDAY!!!

Brilliant, can we arrange a little Goy gathering? I don't know how to, do you? I know Floribunda is going on Saturday, and I know Vicky will be there all day lol. So that's 4 at least. We could show off our purchases, let's hope it's sunny:-)
