Carex morrowii 'Fisher'

AndrewR

By Andrewr

Carex morrowii 'Fisher' (Carex morrowii 'Fisher')

Formerly known as 'Fishers Variety', this is an easy-going 'grass' for shade with unusual brown and grey 'flowers' in spring. Forms an upright clump which I cut down in early spring

I like this Andrew, I've been looking for something hardy (grasslike) to plant in my wooded area. How high does it grow and how fast?

It only gets to about eighteen inches tall and less in width - a good clump former. It is evergreen but I generally cut it to the ground and give it a good feed in early spring as it looks tatty by then

Thanks Andrew - I'll keep it in mind.
