Hmmm - the slugs here in Berkshire consider this a delicacy :-(

That's interesting - here (in Warwickshire) they have left these plants alone - but were a real menace to many other plants. I got really frustrated by the sheer number of slugs & snails this year - sent many packing in the green bins :-)
