Onion - Red Baron

We like our onions - this is a row of a dozen behind a couple of fruit bushes - no point wasting a bit of space. They get about 3 hours direct sun a day, the rest of the time dappled shade and are growing in the mulch. Strangely they seem to be dong better here than in the main raised bed only 4 feet away... it will be interesting to compare the flavour between the soil grown and mulch grown.
Sadly though - our evil resident fox has taken to walking through them breaking down some of the leaves.
