Is he just about to do some digging for you?

He might do Toto if it still in one piece ..one of those silly plastic handle spades that snap so use the handle as a dibber ..and of course a bird perch.

Thank you snail shells all over and quite partial to those tiny black ones in the pond.

Easy done Dawn great to use but not ideal for heavy work.Best fork I have is an old wooden shaft one but council now stopped selling old items surely ultimate recycling ..purchasing things others no longer have a use for ?

Nice to see the thrush. I don't use pellets and the birds and animals do a good job. OUr broccolli were covered in cabbage white caterpillars but most of them have been digested by the birds and wasps.

I'll have to find my Grandads old fork out .... they dont make them to last these days.

I would imagine they are oak, arent they Ray.

13 Jul, 2009

Probably Dawn...my very old spade was so well worn that the wood was shiny !

14 Jul, 2009

My old one's like that too, in fact my grandad must have been very short, unless the fork has shrunk, lol.

Lol..no Dawn that is the way it was ! The new fangled ones have no history to them do they ?

14 Jul, 2009

True Ray, or history of hard work as they dont last long enough.
