lol thank you very much BS, why not bother so much?.... i do find it hard to keep up to be honest, especially this time of year... hopefully people don't think i am being rude :-)

Sorry Angie, took so long to get back, I think you are right, there is so much going on now on this site it is hard to keep up, so I'm starting to find it too much hassle to trawl through everything and find stuff that might be interesting to me, so in the end I find it easier not to bother.

oh thats a shame, but i do understand. to be honest i priamry use this site as a way of record keeping, so each time i load photo's/plants i get lots of comments about them and chat about that. i also have a nosiy at what my friends have been getting see if i can do a seed swap... i can't remeber the last time i read or wrote a blog, unless someone pointed it out to me...i tend to do more on that side in the winter when i have no photos to load and chat about...but it is becoming very difficult just to keep up with that.... Steve, you use the site however and whenever you want to, is what i say
:-) don't go completely though will you coz will miss u xx

Angie, will definitely drop in from time to time, and like you may be a bit more active in the winter when there's more time to spare, because as you say it is a good site for keeping records.
Steve xx

This border looks great. How long did it take to look like this ? =)

We've recently had a similar shape border cut out of our lawn and are trying to create something like this.

hi Anils, thanks for your comments... i moved to this house 3 years ago and it was completely overgrown... so this border has been put in about 2 1/2 years ago... but it has changed completely over the last couple of years... and will always be changing lol... i did a blog at new year talking about this have a look then you will see how different it looked just this time last year... so really you could say it is only about 18 months old with the planting the way it is right now... if you want this look, you can get it quickly...but it is hard work,,,, difinately not for the weekend gardener if you know what i mean lol... good luck with your new project, i look forward to seeing pic's...
