I know its not a very clear picture but Ive taken that many this is the best of the bunch, Its a male Great Spotted Wwoodpecker, the male has a Red patch on his head, which the female does'nt , they do come in pairs but have only managed to snap the male.

wow would love this as a visitor ,dont see many of them up here although I have on occasions but never in the garden
