Ah...and there's your Ligularia... coming along nicely I see... the lig I bought last year (Lig. przewalskii) seemed to go into a slump last August...moved it and crossed my fingers...looks like it is ok and getting used to this climate...man, it's been cold this spring! I haven't tried Bleeding Heart and I guess I really should, aye? yours looks lovely..Do you have astilbe?

yes, and its doing great in an area of mostly shade. I plated this cause my mother loved this plant. I'm glad your lig is doing better, moving a plant always worries me. What is Astilbes?? Might be a silly questions, but I'm still a baby gardener.lol

no silly questions... don't worry about that! Ass til Bees are a great perennial plant for sun-part-shade... they have a variety of colours from deep maroon to white...I have three colours ..deep maroon, pink and dark pink! Their leaves are ferny and the plant itself is colourful the leaves are arranged in branching threes and are burgundy red underneath and deep dark green on top.. they are quite easy to grow and would do fine where your bleeding heart and lig are growing...they will tolerate a lot of water but won't die if it's a bit dry... give them a google for the complete lowdown on them... I love mine.
