Just had 2 plants given to me this spring & put them in. Are they as invasive as the false Soloman's seal? Or do they tend to just form a bush?

My parents have had them for years and they grow in a graceful, contained clump, which expands a little every year. I wouldn't call them invasive (I've seen false Solomon's seal but am not familiar with its habit).
They's supposed to be happiest in shade, but I've seen them grow nicely in full sun at the side of the road.
If by two plants you mean two stems, you could wait for a long time for it to grow into a meaningful group, and may want to help speed up the process by adding a few every year (they aren't cheap) until you have a nice amount. They're such lovely plants :)

Thanks Rosalie! I put the false ones into a side garden and they overran it in a year, lol!

Hi Rosalie, do you get troubled by Solomon's Seal saw fly over there? Got a great clump which generally gets eaten to stems and shreds of leaf in about a week once the fly's caterpillars start muching!

Hi Robert,
I haven't noticed that plant being damaged by anything yet, knock on wood, and hope it stays that way.. Have you found a way to combat them? (Would love to know how to be prepared, if that's possible..)
