Geranium incanum

Geranium incanum (Geranium incanum)

Small flowers, lots of them, on a compact plant. This geranium is not reliably hardy, sadly.

Oooh! Which ones did you get?? And, yes, it is!

well just went over on to ebay to write down the names for you....they have'nt arrived as yet...and while i was there i bought a 3rd tehehehehe.... how very naughty of me.... the 2 i bought the other day were...G. 'Sweet Heidi' which is very simular to rosanne or buxtons....BTW you remeber we had the discussions last year about the buxtons and rosanne that we have, and just recently we were chatting about the one i could'nt name...well i remeber now, the one that i can't name was listed on ebay as 'Rosanne' and after we had our chats about them and i saw your rosanne pic's i disregarded the name as the suplyer i bought it off was not that reliable with the other things he has sent me, well i looked up in RHS bible i found one that looks very much like the one i have, G. himalayense 'Gravetye'. in fact there were a few G. himalayense vareities that looked simular to mine and the discription is also good...i wonder if there is a vareity that is called 'Rosanne' of this type? what is the spec of your Rosanne? - i need a second opinion if you get time - i know your busy what with the opening and all but maybe you would have a look for me please, while i was at it i found pictures of G. wallichianum 'Buxton's Variety' and it is just the same as the one i have with the blue outer edge and white eye..... but i believe there is another variety called 'Buxton's Blue' that does not have the white eye.... no picture of it in my book though.... so we may have got to the bottom of that little mistery...lol and back to naughtyness... yes sweet heidi is very simular but more lilac than blue....and i also go a lovely little pink one called G. sanguineum 'Stratum'...and on my visit just now i acidently also bought, G. 'Jester's Jacket'....have been after that for a while it is a varigated one, with lilacy flowers.....and just to really top off my naughtyness i then saw a lovely perennial orange poppy that would have been rude not to rescue, so i ordered that too...P. rupifragrum 'Tangerine Gem' :D

I have 'Sweet Heidi' , but she hasn't flowered yet. You are silly getting that sanguineum striatum, Angie - I could have dug you up loads of seedlings!

Tsk, tsk, that will teach you to check my photos first, won't it!

'Rozanne' is just 'Rozanne'. I believe she is a hybrid, though. I went to an NGS garden yesterday and came home with G. 'Spinners', G. 'Nimbus' and another G. 'Bill Wallis! So I am just as naughty!

I am waiting for that mystery one to flower again to take another look at it.

Oh well now you tell me lol never mind 3 of my new babies have arrived, Heidi and Striatum and also my Helemium, they are all lovely plants and from the same seller which ment i did'nt pay too much postage, so i still have a bargain on them i think Striatum was only £2 anyway.

Ah well, if you want any more...you only have to ask. You'll have to share with me who this good seller is? Especially if he/she has different Geraniums!!! ;-)
