This is an Allium ("Christophii", I think). Very popular, and no wonder! :-)

Yes, I believe you're right! I want this very badly -- is it a bulb? I never see them in the garden stores around here. I'll have to do a little "googling!" lol...Thanks for the info1

They are bulbs, Pg, and might be more readily available towards the end of summer, for Autumn planting.
