This is lovely - I tried to cover an old ceramic sink in the same way but with little success. All the mixture fell off!

the mixture is easy to fall off unless you use concrete bond and reinforced mortar bonding agent(liquid) on the mold.
In addition add a little reinforced mortar bonding agent(liquid) to the mixture.
