Are my garden visitors dumb or what???

Are my garden visitors dumb or what???

I've pulled out bits of wool for them to line their nests with, but they still insist on trying to pull out bits where there is no hole cut out for them............. (scratches head........)

My neighbour used to get an old doll or teddy bear, hang it on a post and split open it's stomach so the birds could take the stuffing. Think he had been watching too many horror films. The birds loved it though.

Ha ha ha Im beginning to wonder if this site is for the twisted of mind Jacque he he he What will we be doing next to entertain our feathered friends.............The mind boggles

Maybe the birds are selecting a special colour of wool for their interior decor............ :o)

Heehee Terratoonie, that never occurred to me........!!!

A split stomach, urgh, Toto, that's def. one warped neighbour (good idea for the birds tho'! lol!) Hope your neighbour never had any children visiting his garden.......... Or were the cuddley toys ones he'd sabotaged from visiting children??! Eeeeeek!!

No problem Craftnutter. My neighbour died a few years ago but he told me to carry on the tradition. Only problem is I don't have teddies so have to kidnap people from the local pub. Makes a bit more of a mess but works just as well.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.....Toto you have my kind of humour......or is it really humour???? Maybe.....hmmm......someone better check out the missing persons list around Totos local.
Splitting the stomach open isn't gruesome.....you're only a sicko when you start nailing them to the fence with a big spike through their heads. :oD

Perhaps if you stick a couple of knitting needles in it, the birdies will knit you a jumper just like they made a dress for Cinderella :-))) (I havent even started on the wine yet)

Toto, I think it's great you carried the tradition on for your neighbour, not sure what the birdies think of it tho'? If they can't manage this lil' old bag, not sure they'll work out the locals........ lol!!

Hmmm, Norfolk Shed, hadn't thought of that one!! That's obviously why I choose that particular bag of wool, it had pink in it!!! lol!!

Gilli, I thought that's what they used to do in the old days, stick traitors heads on spikes round the local castle. Hmmmm, no wonder our lil' birdies are confused by things we hang up!!!

|After visiting The Tower of London last week and having a tour with one of The Beefeaters it's quite clear we were a very bloodthirtsy lot!Chopping their heads off was only part of what they did!
There is a small chuch inside the Castle walls and Queen Victoria was asked if some of the bodies under the floor could be moved~her stipulation was that everyone had to be Identified~paticularly Henry the viiith'sQueens and all had to have a Chistian burial.
When the floor was lifted there were 1500 odd bodies plus their heads and they could only identify 33.However they were all buried as per Victorias instructions and Anne Bolyn etc were buried under the altar.Needless to say they never expected that many~ apparently you could disappear without trace...!didn't do to cross Henry!

Thanks Gilli, you've just given me an idea.

This is getting very funny!!

Come on Toto, I mean Henry, what's this idea then???

Please see Gilli's excellent suggestion. May need to buy some more spikes but would be worth it. Only decision then is wheter to go for the front garden and share with the neighbours or have them all to myself in the back. Decision, decisions.
