Ah that must have been a real treat - find this fascinating to read Greenthumb in Alaska then Bernieh and Panther in tropical beauty ..mind wouldnt want to freeze in Alaska or face some of those scary insects and animals in the tropics so guess overall we quite lucky .

Bonkersbon I agree with you that this site makes for fascinating reading and viewing and I was feeling the same way as you - that I'm so lucky to live where I do - even though it might sound scary to some. I've just come in from the verandah where I was having a cuppa surrounded by bush where acacias are blooming, under a deep deep blue sky filled with fluffy white clouds, surrounded by the most magnificent birdsong you can imagine and looking out towards green hills watching lots of butterflies and birds! Later this afternoon I'm off to the beach to have fish and chips under the palms. There's always something of beauty to appreciate no matter where you live. P.S. The insects and animals are not all scary you know!

If I send you an e-mail with my address, could you please send any spare butterflies, bees, birds or even just birdsong and don't forget to include a portion of fish and chips. Of course we have all of the aforementioned here but would be extremely grateful for more. Just greedy I guess.
