It's a survivor, too - it got bent double when the branch fell off the ash tree! It lost a couple of branches, too.

It only grows to 8', Jacque - so it's only little. Ideal for where it is!

lovely Spritz, i have been pondering on a Prunus tree for the back of my garden next to the Acer, it would have to be small because of the size of the area, i may just have to look out for this one.

This tree reminds me of the redbud trees in Houston they llok a lot like this except the color is more lavender/purple.
