Interesting structure and plant name.
Can you explain more please ?

I don't know the scientific name of this plant, and i don't believe it scares off spirits or ghost. But elderly Chinese who believe in the plant will buy 3 pots. 1 pot of pomegranate (the elderly call it Ang Hui, meaning red flower), 1 pot of "buat cao" and another pot I don't know the Chinese name for it. The 3 musketeers supposed to chase off spirits. (I suppose same concept that garlic chase off vampire)

If i learn more, will update. All this while I don't believe, thats why i didn't bother to listen to the elderly stories regarding ghost scaring plants. No offense to elderly .... Don't take offense please.

It is interesting to hear these stories, whether or not we believe in folklore.
Thanks for the fascinating explanation. :o)
