Our fiddlewood tree is now about 12 metres tall and in spring it is covered with beautiful white sprays of perfumed flowers. It is stunning. Originally a West Indian native tree I think.

The flowers remind me a lot of the durante repens. Are they related?

Tasteyg, I believe the botanic name for the Fiddlewood tree is Citharexylum Spinosum. I do have a Durante in the garden and its purple flowers look exactly like these white ones, you're right. I will post a photo of that as well.
