December 2008 ...now look...so depressing and awful!!!

This what my beautiful garden has been reduced to. It makes me feel really dismal and grey like the British weather!!! Well I have many months and years ahead of me to do as much as I can to make it glorious again.

A few more weeks Vilai and Spring will be round the corner. If I were you between now and then...I would plan the garden by drawing it first how you would like it...you could have 2 or 3 different gardens here.....a wildlife garden for your little boy,.....some structure with trees shrubs etc...a pebble pool so you had the water and safety...it will take time, but you have a great blank canvas to work from now.

What a shame. Never mind, you can bring it back to it's former glory and show us all how it progresses.

a few weeks and it will look different again

The good thing is that many plants and shrubs grow quite fast. Our garden looks flat and desolate at the moment, unrecogniseable from it's summer state. Be encouraged and start planning.

Do you know what sort of garden you want? What sort of plants?
Everyone on here can help in one way or another.

Don't forget, spring is the time for sowing seeds - by summer you could have glorious swayths of annual flowers swaying gently in the breeze and buzzing with bees....oh sorry, getting a bit carried away with it all! ha ha...

It will look different again in a few weeks when spring arrives. They always look desolate at this time of year. I agree with Janey. Start now by making some drawings of how you would like your garden to look. Then do some cruising around on here and on the internet and research the plants that you would like to add. Make sure they are good for your climate/zone and choose the colours and the varieties. Have fun!!

Again I asked a question and presto here it is the photo of the yard reduced down from its original glory. I think I should scan first then ask questions after.

Please I invite you to my garden present and past. You will not see much of it now as it is under a blanket of snow, more like a really puffy thick duvet.

Happy New Year to you too Vilai, a very warm welcome to you and your family. We are here to help, you just have to ask. I am sure the others would agree with me!

Don't worry, my garden looks really sad at the moment but I know what will happen as the summer comes round. Just a bright morning makes me smile and the garden look so much better. You've lots of grass... this will look really impressive on a sunny day, nicely cut and edged.
