A new kind of hollyhock

A new kind of hollyhock

I absolutely love Hollyhocks, but haven’t had much success with them because of the dreaded rust. A few years ago I read that Alcea Ficifolia were resistant, so I grew some from seed. They were nice actually. But this year I bought three of this new kind of Hollyhock to try. So far, so good. They are just beginning to flower, and they are like a cross between hollyhock and mallow. Alcalthaea suffrutescens ‘Park Rondell’.
