Rose 'Golden Wedding' with 1st flower of 2025 on balcony 13th May 2025 001

It is a beautiful rose...we were given it on our Golden Wedding Anniversary.

That's nice, Julia! I'd never heard of it before my brother gave it to us.

Just this week three flowers have opened on it & I've been taking lots of photos! The first one has dropped it petals today; they don't seem to last very long & the flower opens up fully in just 1 day.

We men are not usually reknown for smelling flowers so I deliberately got down & stuck my nose in all three flowers yesterday evening, there was a slight scent but I wouldn't be able to describe it. :(

You are right it is a faint scent.I particularly like the formation of the flower heads.
