Hostas are so lovely when you keep those slimies off! I could so easily have thirty, but the heartbreak when they are ruined is too much!

I cannot grow hostas in the garden because deer loves them but slugs have not found way to our deck (yet) where I have several.
I planted several dahlias and unfortunately slugs love these as well .

Yes, I have Dahl8as in pots, and I swore I wouldn’t grow any more Dahlias!

Lovely Hosta....without holes. My Hostas have lace patterns in the leaves.....My Hedgehogs are keeping the slugs and snails down though.

I should move mine into tall pots, but it’s no guarantee is it…and you have to put up with bare pots all winter. I fear my Hosta phase has come to a bitter end.

Karen, slugs can climb up pots with no problem. No matter how tall they are. I have seen some climbing on the wall of our house, also on the window. They are not easy to deal with
