Last year I moved some of the Iris that were growing too close to a Holly shrub. This one seems happy!

It’s a fitting colour right now with all the glorious warm weather!

Karen, I feel I should plant some white ones for next year as mine are either yellow, mauve, or mauve and yellow together!
Kate, how ironic that I should get the hosepipe going, only for rain to start falling just now at 18.30!

Rain Shirley? I hope you had a proper drenching!

Yes Karen, it rained enough to top up the smallest of our water butts and this morning there are birds plucking worms from the lawn ... it has softened up the ground at last.

Shirley, OH was up early for work and said we’d had a substantial downpour here this morning.
Was drying up as I got up at 7.30am. But, pleased as it was bone dry.

Kate, the weather in England is just so peculiar at the moment.
Looking ahead, there seems to be no rain due for a couple of weeks ... :o(

You should have seen it in Winchester yesterday. The sky went black and we got in our hotel just before the downpour. Hail included. It was so heavy it washed all the moss into the Down pipes and on to the street. All over in about 20 mins, but what a wash we got! Nothing in Shaftesbury though. Bone dry here. I’m watering.

Karen, you did well to avoid being drenched! Chilly in the breeze here today, unlike yesterday which was so warm and sunny, welcome to England!!
